St. Luke's Sugar Land Receives Path to Excellence Award
St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital (SLSL) was selected as a winner of NRC Picker’s third annual Path to Excellence Award, which recognizes healthcare organizations for their dedication to improving the patient experience.
Selected from NRC Picker’s extensive database of clients, which range from small specialty hospitals to large multi-hospital systems, SLSL met the criteria to receive NRC Picker’s Path to Excellence Improvement Planner Champion Award. The Award identifies organizations that most successfully leverage Catalyst’s Improvement Planner tool to help drive improvement in Patient-Centered Care.
Two organizations were selected, by NRC Picker, based on the number of Improvement Plans created (April 2011 - March 2012) that yielded a statistically significant increase for the plan’s target question. Both organizations, Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, and St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital had more than 100 different Improvement Plans showing statistically significant improvements.
National Research Corporation (NRC), founded in 1981, is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of care provided in the healthcare industry that’s committed to equipping its clients with the knowledge and resources that are proven to improve the patient experience.
Top performing organizations will be recognized by NRC Picker at its 18th International Patient-Centered Care Symposium in September 16-19 in Chicago.
