Society of Critical Care Medicine Chooses Ran Xu of St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital’s Pharmacy Department as “2012 Alan I. Fields Award” Recipient
The Texas Chapter of Society of Critical Care Medicine has selected Ran Xu, PhD, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, as a recipient of the 2012 Alan I. Fields Award for her abstract, “Outcomes Associated with a Screening and Treatment Pathway for Occult Hypoperfusion following Cardiac Surgery."
The Alan I. Fields Award recognizes members of the Chapter for their outstanding multidisciplinary contribution toward the advancement in critical care excellence through scholarly research. The team of authors, from St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, who also contributed to the abstract are Greg Laine, MS, RPh; BeeBee Hu, PharmD; R. Thomas Solis, MD; Arthur Bracey, MD; James Wilson, MD; Amy Miclat, MS, RN; Susan Baimbridge, MN, RN; and George Reul, MD.
Xu, along with the other recipients, was presented with the award at a reception in February. She also was selected to give a poster presentation of the abstract, which was on display at the George R. Brown Convention Center during the 2012 Society of Critical Care Medicine Annual Congress.
