David J. We are celebrating a joint venture in collaboration with eighteen physicians who, specializing either in cardiology or in orthopedic surgery, practice right here in the community.  The new St. Luke’s Lakeside Hospital, like St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, will be a source of hope and a place of healing for the residents of Montgomery County. There is no more profound vocation than that of improving the health of our fellow citizens.”

Debra F. Sukin, CEO of St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, added, “It is an honor to witness our vision of developing a center of excellence in North Houston focused on delivering the highest quality care and best service in orthopedic surgery and cardiology. We are fortunate to have a partnership with dedicated community physicians who have worked tirelessly with us and have spent countless hours with their peers over the past eighteen months to help St. Luke’s shape, build, and develop a hospital that embraces a higher standard of care for this community. Our physician partners have exhibited dedication and great enthusiasm in developing a state-of-the-art facility for the delivery of superior patient care.”

The physician partners serving on the hospital Board in the joint venture are cardiologists Vincent Aquino, MD, and Christopher H. LaVergne, MD, and orthopedic surgeons Kevin J. Coupe, MD, and A. Brant Lipscomb, MD.

According to Dr. Aquino, the cooperation between the physicians and St. Luke’s has been excellent.  He explained, “That is why this project has been so successful. Given the size and scope of what this new hospital will offer, it will certainly elevate and enhance the level of quality care to an even higher plane right here in our local community.  I am pleased to be part of this exciting developmental process.”

Dr. Lipscomb, MD, added, “I am extremely passionate about the opportunity to provide surgical care within what I consider to be a top notch medical environment that will surely exceed patient expectations by delivering an outstanding hospital experience of quality care. We are attracting the best medical providers, which certainly makes all the difference in successfully delivering high-touch patient care. I have the utmost respect for Debbie Sukin and David Fine, as without their leadership this project would not be possible.”
